Lattice Deformer
Intro
Deform Shapes using a flexible grid of control points.
UI
Grid Count - Set the number of control points for the Lattice's grid.
Mesh - When checked, a connected Shape will also be triangulated to enable texture deformation.
Deformers - Connect a Behaviour to perform 'per-point' manipulation of the lattice points.
Controllers - Connect a Lattice Controller which can be used to manipulate the position, rotation and scale of multiple Lattice points.
Buttons
- Reset Lattice - Return any Lattice points to their original grid positions.
- Keyframe Selection - Add keyframes to the selected Lattice points.
- Add Controller to Selection - Add a Lattice Controller which can be used to translate the current selection of Lattice points.
Layer tool
With the Lattice Layer selected and the Select tool active, a Layer tool will appear in the Viewport.
To select Lattice points either:
- Click to select.
- Cmd/Ctrl + click individual points to add to the selection.
- Marquee select multiple points.
- Hold Option/Alt and draw around points to select them.
When multiple points are selected, a manipulator will appear that can be used to move them.
Viewport Snapping
The Lattice's Layer tool respects Viewport Snapping. Where multiple points are selected and when using the manipulator, the last point selected will be used for the snapping. Alternatively, click a specific point within the selection and drag it to use that point for the snapping.
